-We encourage all guests to obtain third-party travel insurance to ensure full coverage against any unforeseen circumstances. We recommend Allianz or Seven Corners for your travel insurance needs

🗺️  Afro-Diaspora Journey Overview: 
This trip offers the best of both worlds. Travelers can move with the group and follow the curated itinerary or explore Ghana independently at their own pace while still being part of the WUHU experience.
 
The goal is to have a WUHU Ambassador on-site, alongside our trusted destination team in Ghana. Our local team will be available throughout the trip and will coordinate the included activities whether the trip is hosted on-site or virtually.
 
Two signature tours are included for all travelers and will be done together as a group, regardless of whether you choose to follow the full itinerary or explore independently.
 
Enjoy the freedom to experience Ghana your way, while still being connected to the WUHU community.
 
🥂 Detty December Celebration Overview:
This trip takes place during Detty December, Ghana’s biggest celebration season filled with nightlife events, concerts, festivals, and pop-up parties throughout Accra. Many of these events are not officially announced until about 4–6 weeks before the holiday, so recommendations will be shared closer to the trip. Participation in these events is optional. Transportation and entry will be at the traveler’s expense; however, travelers will have the option to book a private driver through our destination partner.
 
Note: Event schedules, nightlife activities, and festival availability are subject to change based on local announcements and scheduling and many Detty December events run late into the night, often until 4–6am.
 
🎶 Afro Nation Festival Overview:
During this time, Ghana hosts the globally known Afro Nation Festival, a multi-day music festival featuring Afrobeats, Amapiano, and other global African music. Travelers who wish to attend will have time reserved in the itinerary, and we will provide guidance on securing tickets. Guests will also have the option to book a private driver through our destination partner for transportation to and from the festival (guest expense).
 
✨ Itinerary:
The itinerary will be sent to all travelers approximately 30–60 days prior to departure and is subject to change based on local scheduling and Detty December event announcements.
 
Your itinerary will outline recommended experiences and curated suggestions, including but not limited to:
-Cultural landmarks and history-focused tours
-Detty December concerts, parties, and celebration events
-Food, nightlife, and cultural highlights throughout Accra
 
These recommendations are designed to help travelers make the most of their time in Ghana Experiences beyond what is listed as included in the package are optional and not included in the trip cost unless otherwise stated.
 
Pre-Departure Communication:
-Trip subgroup will be created approximately two months before this trip
-Our pre-departure meeting will take place around the one month to departure mark
-Group chat via WhatsApp will be created the week of the trip
-Trip leader (virtual or on-site) will be assigned within 60 days of arrival
 
Financial Terms:
-Making a reservation signifies that you agree to all payment terms and conditions including but not limited to: all deposits, payments and sales are non-refundable and non-transferable.
-Tips, gratuities and items of a personal nature are not included in package pricing. The suggested tip amount is approx. $5-$10 to staff, drivers, waitresses, etc.
